To all Students, Faculty, and Staff:

The Student Research and Creativity Institute (SRCI), founded to offer substantive financial support to the most promising of student-led artistic, research, and service projects across the disciplines, is now accepting proposals for its Fall semester review cycle.  The initiative will once again be offering up to $50,000 in total support during the 2011-2012 academic year, and seeks to tap the rich reservoir of talent among SVSU’s best students.  Please review the website and attached flyer for further information, and be sure to note the dates below established for the 2011-2012 academic year (and anticipated for future years).

Fall Review cycle:
Submission deadline: Oct. 31
Notification: December 10
Work on funded projects begins after: January 1

Winter Review cycle:
Submission deadline: March 31
Notification: May 10
Work on funded projects begins after: July 1

(All dates will default to the next business day if they fall on a weekend.)

Please also note that the Writing Center has established workshops that can assist students in preparing their applications:

SRCI workshops:  How to Write a Successful SRCI proposal.
Dates: M 10/3 and Th 10/6, both from 4-5 in Z303 (3rd floor library).
