A Memorial to be registered pursuant to the Statute in such case made and provided….
Of a will dated the eighth of March, in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten, made my Jacob Hewit Senior of the Township of Yonge, county of Leeds and Province of Upper Canada of and concerning all that messuage and tenement in the Township of Kitley containing one hundred acres of land late in the tenure and occupation of the said Jacob Hewit; also Lot number two in the eleventh concession of Yonge aforesaid late in the tenure and occupation of the said Jacob Hewit, which said parcels of land or tenements the said Jacob Hewit died possessed of in the County of Leeds in the District of Johnstown and Province aforesaid. Which said Will is witnessed by William Read Junior of Kitley aforesaid yeoman and Nathan McVeagh and Joseph Hewit both of Yonge aforesaid Yeomen & this Memorial is therefore required to be registered pursuant to the above said act by Mr. Robert Hewit one of the devisees in the said Will mentioned. As witness my hand and seal this sixth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten.
